Happy Chinese New Year, Everyone!
I hope you all have been scooping up those lucky red envelopes, because the festival is almost over. However, the fun is not! 😉 While tonight I’ll be back with a special lunar new year’s recipe post, this afternoon I am bringing you a simple buttermilk biscuit recipe based upon the novice recipe in game.
Buttermilk biscuits are super simple to make and can be eaten in a variety of ways. You can slather some jam and butter in them for tea time. You can slip some scrambled eggs and cheese in them and eat it over brekkie. You can even place them on top of skillet pot pie! The possibilities are endless! So, let’s dive into this very easy (and tasty recipe). 🙂
Makes: 6-8 Drop Biscuits (depending upon size)
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt to taste
Begin by preheating the oven to 425 degrees (F)/ 220 degrees (C)/ Gas Mark 7. Then, add your dry ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix to combine.
Next, add your wet ingredients into the bowl and mix to form a dough.
Take two spoons and scoop up the biscuit dough and drop them by the tablespoonful onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake in the oven for 16-18 minutes, or until the tops are just golden. Remove from oven and serve warm.
Have a wonderful day, and I’ll see you in Tyria! ❤ 🙂
