Bowl of Cinnamon Sugar + Cinnamon Pinwheels [Guild Wars 2 Recipe]

Hi Tyrians!

Happy Friday to you all! I hope you all are doing well. Today I want to talk about cinnamon rolls. Sticky buns. Sticky, cinnamon confections that we disguise as “breakfast”, but let’s be honest, we’re really just smuggling in cake at the start of the day (hehe!). No judgement here, because I love a decent cinnamon roll too. 😉 But who has the time to wait for the dough to proof and rise? Certainly not me, and I’m guessing you don’t either. Which brings me to today’s recipe. But before we jump in, let’s examine the Guild Wars 2 version of cinnamon pinwheels…

In the game, this recipe calls for a bowl of cinnamon sugar + a ball of dough. Keeping as true to this recipe as we can, naturally we will begin with a bowl of cinnamon sugar. (1/2 cup of white sugar +3 tablespoons of ground cinnamon to be exact).

Now, as for the ball of dough, refrigerated canned biscuit dough is going to be the staple that pulls all of this together. It’s fast, buttery, and can easily be turned into cinnamon rolls with nothing more than a baking sheet and a rolling pin. Are you ready to get baking? Then, let’s go! 🙂

Tyrian Cinnamon Pinwheels

  • 1 can of pre-made refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 bowl of cinnamon sugar (1/2 cup of granulated sugar + 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon)

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (F)/ 177 degrees (C).

Step 2: Place the biscuits out of the tin and onto a greased baking sheet. Pinch all of the edges together and begin rolling out the biscuits flat to make one giant rectangle of dough. (Just keep pinching and rolling. It’ll get there! 🙂 ).

Step 3: Brush the melted butter over the dough and then sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.

Step 4: Roll up the dough into a long log. Take a sharp knife and cut the dough into rounds or cinnamon pinwheels and place in a small cake pan.

Step 5: Bake in the oven for 23-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and eat warm. Enjoy! ❤

Alright friends, I hope you all enjoyed this recipe. If you did, hit that like button and let me know. Smash that follow button if you’re new around here, and I will see you back here for the next dish!

Stay Nerdy!
